December was a productive month at Schema App, with significant investment in Topic Management, new health and monitoring capabilities, and a broad set of usability improvements across Entity Hub, the Highlighter, and Deployment Monitoring.
Topic Management
December saw the rollout of foundational Topic Management capabilities in Entity Hub. You can now organize entities and topics using hierarchical broader/narrower relationships, create and delete topic containers, and edit topics through a streamlined interface that surfaces only the fields relevant to topics. When selecting broader or narrower entities, the picker now displays each entity's preferred label, URI, and type — making it easier to choose the right entity accurately.
Knowledge Graph Health Reports (Beta)
A new Knowledge Graph Health page is now available in beta, providing a dedicated location to review key diagnostic and monitoring reports — including Entity Hub metrics, Orphan Node Analysis, Data Item Importance, and Data Item Similarity — in a single view. Access is currently gated behind a beta flag; reach out to your CSM to learn more.
Deployment Monitoring Enhancements
Deployment Monitoring received a substantial set of improvements this month. A Utility Links section has been added to each schema source in the Monitoring Results detail view. Users can now access LastScan and ScanHistory data for individual URLs directly from the "Show Details" view, making it easier to troubleshoot specific pages. The results filter has been upgraded from a checkbox to a full filter menu, and conforming results are now included alongside pages with issues. Severity ordering has been corrected (Critical → Non-Critical → Information), and template names in monitoring reports now display human-readable labels instead of raw URIs.
Other Improvements at Schema App
- Entity View report filters — The Entity View report now supports filtering by Status, Template, Tag, and Type, making it easier to find and act on specific entities.
- Optimize action and auto-optimize status icons — You can now mark an entity as Optimized directly from the Actions dropdown in the Entity View report. New status icons also indicate Optimized and Auto-Optimized states at a glance in the report table.
- Highlighter improvements — Three fixes ship this month: quotation marks and text are no longer stripped from XPath FILTER() expressions; subtemplate cloning now reliably copies all associated items and highlights; and a validation check prevents highlights from being created without a required RDF type.
- Image Repair "Setup Image" fix — Resolved an issue where "Setup Image" was unresponsive for image URLs not defined as ImageObjects, preventing users from configuring those images.
- Editor unique URI generation — New data items created in the Editor are now assigned unique default URIs (e.g.,
#Thing1,#Thing2) rather than always defaulting to the same base URI. - Entity Hub Report header overlap fixed — A visual bug where the Entity Hub report header would overlap and obscure the sub-account list has been resolved.
In Brief
December 2025 delivered Topic Management as a major new capability in Entity Hub — including hierarchical entity relationships, topic creation and deletion, and a cleaner editing experience for topics. A new Knowledge Graph Health page (beta) centralises key diagnostic reports in one place. Deployment Monitoring saw its most significant set of improvements to date, adding utility links, per-URL scan history, an improved filter menu, and better readability throughout. Rounding out the month: Entity View filters, new auto-optimize status icons, a series of Highlighter bug fixes, and several Editor and UI polish improvements.
