Release Notes - January 2025

January has seen lots of cold dreary weather for most of Schema App, but that hasn't stopped us from releasing some new and exciting features!

Statuses added to Entity Reports

When an entity has been blocked or edited from within the Entity Reports or Entity Manager, those entities now show an icon in the status column of the Entity View report.

	Indicates an entity has been edited
	Indicates an entity has been blocked

Capture SEO Performance for individual Entities

Our Entity Reports now allow you to copy URLs in a format that can be pasted directly into Schema Performance Analytics!

1. Go to the Entity Reports
2. Find the desired entity in the Entity View tab
3. Click Actions > Show URLs
4. Click the copy button
5. Paste URL list into SPA Page-Level Reports' Exact Match field in the controls panel

Big Commerce Plugin Deprecated

As of January 31, 2025, the Schema Markup by Schema App BigCommerce App has officially been deprecated.

This means:

• The app will no longer deploy Schema Markup to any BigCommerce websites.
• All subscription charges for the plugin have stopped, and you will no longer be billed for its use.

Shopify Plugin Updated

Updates were required to remain compliant with Shopify's new Product API. As a result, Shopify metadata will no longer be mapped to the availability and weight properties. 

Neither are required properties, though their removal may result in a spike in warnings for Product, ProductGroup and ProductVariant results.

Other Improvements at Schema App

• Updated warnings for Review Snippets per Google's 01/15/2025 documentation update:

  "We recommend implementing a setup that only accepts ratings and reviews that are accompanied by a review comment and author's name, as this approach can help your users understand the context for a given rating."

• Fixed a bug impacting the password reset functionality on app.schemaapp.com
