Release Notes - July 2026

July was a month of connecting things together. The Knowledge Assistant became dramatically simpler and safer to embed on your site, internal entities can now be shared and referenced across projects within an account, and Akamai and Cloudflare joined the list of self-service deployment options. Alongside these, the Entity Hub continued its move to a faster, cleaner interface, and Highlighter authoring gained live entity linking previews.

A Simpler, Safer Knowledge Assistant Embed

Adding the Knowledge Assistant to your site is now a single static script tag. Settings changes also take effect right away rather than waiting on a cache to expire, so updates to your site list or branding are visible as soon as you save them. The result is a faster, more cacheable embed with a much shorter path from setup to live.

Share Internal Entities Across Projects

Internal Entity Linking is no longer confined to a single project. You can now nominate one project's knowledge graph as a source of internal entities for another, so the product, location, or glossary entities defined on your main site can be referenced directly from your support, marketing, or regional domains. This removes the need to duplicate the same entities in several places to keep linking working, and the linking behavior can be configured through the standard tag settings rather than by hand-editing configuration. Cross-account resolution is restricted to subaccounts you are authorized to use.

Self-Service Deployment for Akamai and Cloudflare

Akamai and Cloudflare are now first-class deployment options in the project setup flow, joining the existing integrations. Each comes with in-app setup steps, a configuration checklist, and links to the relevant support articles, so edge-based deployments can be set up directly in the app instead of coordinating through support.

Other Improvements at Schema App

• A cleaner, faster Entity Hub: the modern Entity View shows short, readable "Same As" labels instead of long URLs, Block and Optimize actions update the row immediately rather than reloading the whole report, paging footers now show accurate "showing X of Y" counts on filtered data, and incorrect secondary types can be removed from multi-typed entities.
• Internal and external entities in one place: the Entity Manager now presents internally and externally linked entities together under a single "Linked Entities" heading, with clear indication of where each entity came from and direct links back to the tool that authored it.
• Live previews while authoring in the Highlighter: the entity linking preview now refreshes when you edit an XPath by hand or widen a selection, linked entity names are clickable so you can confirm the target immediately, and internally matched entities are labeled correctly instead of appearing as external matches.
• Combined deployment rules per template: URL patterns and explicit URL lists can now be used together on the same template. Adding a pattern no longer overwrites an existing list, which makes it far easier to target one set of pages while excluding another on large sites.
• More accurate Performance Analytics: page-level reporting now handles parameterized URLs and trailing slashes consistently, rolling them up to the page you actually deployed to. Clean-page and campaign-parameter merging is now on for all accounts, removing duplicate rows and inflated URL counts from your reports.
• Better Analyzer reporting: the Coverage report loads noticeably faster, the coverage trend chart appears only once there is enough crawl history to be meaningful, and search and download were restored in Entity Reports.
• Reliability and enhanced security: we resolved persistent sign-in verification failures, corrected schema merging on regionalized Shopify storefronts, fixed browser stability on very large pages in the Highlighter Extension, and continued routine security and data model hardening across the platform.
