1. Authenticate with Brightcove

The following instructions will explain how to authenticate with a Brightcove Video Cloud account, providing Schema App access to the Brightcove Playback API to generate markup for Brightcove videos.

Step 1: Register an Application in Brightcove

To authenticate with Brightcove, Schema App requires a Brightcove Account ID, a client ID, and a client secret from a Brightcove client. The client ID and client secret are generated when you register an application with your Brightcove account.

  • Copy the client ID and client secret.

**Note: The client secret will only be displayed once after you create it. Copy the client secret to a secure location.**

Step 2: Authenticate Brightcove Account in Schema App

Schema App uses the Brightcove Policy API to create a policy key, which will allow Schema App to access your Brightcove videos using the Brightcove Playback API.

Follow these steps to authenticate your Brightcove account:

After this policy key is generated, you will see the associated Brightcove Account ID on this page. Your Brightcove videos will now be accessible by the Schema App Highlighter

2. Disconnecting a Brightcove Account

To revoke access to your Brightcove account:

This will remove any associated Brightcove account ID and associated policy key from your Schema App account.
