Modified on Mon, 27 May at 4:49 PM

This document describes how to set up Schema Performance Analytics for a Schema App project. Schema Performance Analytics (SPA) is available to accounts with at least one Highlighter template.

Resources Required

Instructions

Step 1: Setting up SPA

Once you log into your account, select Reporting > Performance Analytics from the menu. In order to set up SPA, you'll require the following:

Follow the wizard to complete setting up Schema Performance Analytics.

Step 2: Add Branded Keywords

A branded keyword, or a branded search, is any search query that includes the name of your company, business or brand. You may also want to include common misspellings. For example, Schema App might add branded terms like 'Schema App', 'Schemaapp' or 'schmea app'.

You can add as many terms as you require. And don’t worry you can add or edit your branded keywords later in your settings.

Step 3: Authenticate with Google

For this step, you will require Full User or Owner permissions in Google Search Console.

Click ‘Authenticate with Google’ to get started. This will take you to the GSC login page. Click ‘Allow’ to grant access. You will be redirected to Schema App where you will see the websites that have been integrated on GSC.

Note: If you are authenticating multiple projects with the same Gmail account, we'll automatically reuse your email login provided you have the correct permission level in Google Search Console.

Step 4: Register Property

Confirm the details on the screen and click the button ‘Register Property'.  You must register a URL-prefix property in order to integrate GSC with SPA.

If you do not have URL-prefix property, you'll need to create one in Google Search Console.

Note: Domain properties are not accepted in SPA due to impacts on data processing. If attempting to authenticate with a domain property, please create a URL-prefix property for the URL of the associated Schema App project.

Once Done, you will see the message “We are now processing the data from google and preparing your first report. Please return to this page later to access your new analytics dashboard”.

It may take up to a week for your data to appear in Schema Performance Analytics.

If you have any issue during this process, please contact support at support@schemaapp.com or contact your CSM.
