Step 1: Download file from Google Search Console
- Log into your Google Search Console account

- Click Browse and upload the .xlsx file from Google Search Console

Step 3: Analyze Results
The tool will return performance data on queries clustered into broader topics. Each topic starts with a number which identifies the cluster. Performance data is organized into 4 separate bar graphs:
- Total Clicks by Topic Cluster
- Total Impressions by Topic Cluster
- Average Click-through-rate (CTR) by Topic Cluster
- Average Position by Topic Cluster
Here's an example using sample data from Schema App:
Use this data to answer questions like:
- Are the top performing clusters expected or unexpected?
- Where are the largest discrepancies between performance metrics for a given cluster?
- E.g. Cluster 1 (knowledge, schema, google) shows the highest average position, but lowest LOW POSITION IS GOOD
- High impressions but low clicks -- indicates clsuter that could be improved on -- ranking well for some stuff, but want to improve ranking/position
- E.g. Cluster 3 -- may indicate an opporunity to build additional content in this area/related to these topics/keywords
