The Schema App WordPress plugin relies on the Schema App server for loading Highlighter markup. In some instances, the Schema App project dashboard may trigger webhooks and give 401 errors, preventing the Highlighter markup from deploying.
If this is the case, the perform the following troubleshooting actions:
1. Confirm Plugin is Up-to-Date
Log into your WordPress site
Update the Schema App WordPress plugin
2. Confirm License is Active
Log into your WordPress site
Navigate to Settings > Schema App > Licenses
The license status must be set to "Active"
3. Confirm Webhooks are not Blocked
Navigate to [Your WordPress site]wp-json/wp/v2/users. For example, if using Schema App's website, the URL would be https://www.schemaapp.com/wp-json/wp/v2/users.
If the following error message is received, webhooks are blocked:
{"code":"rest_authentication_error","message":"Sorry, you do not have permission to make REST API requests.","data":{"status":401}}
If blocked, enable webhooks. For more information, see the article How to Disable JSON REST API in WordPress
Once webhooks are enabled, from within your WordPress site, navigate to Settings > Schema App > Settings
Under "Advanced Plugin Setup" click Delete Transient Cache
Note: If the transient cache is not deleted, it will take up to 7 days for your markup to deploy
