Entity Reports (Beta)

Modified on Mon, 6 Jan at 5:04 PM

Schema App's Entity Reports provide a clear view of how entities identified by External Entity Linking are distributed across your URLs. Use these reports to identify areas of saturation and uncover underrepresented entities so you can make data-driven decisions to align your content with business goals and market trends.

This article describes what Entity Reports are and how they can be used.

IMPORTANT:

  • The Entity View report is available to all projects with active External Entity Linking tags
  • The URL View report is available only to projects with an Entity Hub plan
  • Reports show data from the last 12 weeks by default

Reporting is split into two different views:

  • URL Count: The count of URLs where the entity has been identified
  • Same As: A comma-separated list of URIs for the entity in Wikipedia, Wikidata, and/or Google's Knowledge Graph
  • Type: The type of the entity as defined in the Schema.org vocabulary
  • Actions: A list of available actions from this report view (see details below)

    • Are there key entities that are consistently represented across multiple URLs?
  2. Content Gaps:

    • Are there important entities that are only mentioned on a few URLs, indicating a potential gap in coverage?
    • Which entities are underrepresented, and where can additional content be created to improve coverage?
  3. Content Strategy:

    • How can the current coverage of entities inform future content creation and optimization strategies?
    • Which entities should be prioritized for inclusion in new content to align with audience interests and search trends?
  4. SEO Optimization:

    • Are there high-value entities that need better coverage to enhance SEO performance?
    • How can the distribution of entities across URLs be optimized to improve search engine rankings?
    • Are there specific entities that contribute to the success of high-performing URLs?
  5. Content Redundancy:

    • Are there entities that are overly redundant across multiple URLs, possibly diluting content quality?
    • How can content be refined to avoid unnecessary repetition of entities?

URL View

The URL View lists URLs where specific entities have been identified, providing insights into the richness and depth of the content on each individual URL.
