If I change branded query terms, will they update the dashboard?

Why can't I see changed branded strings effect changes in branded strings of historical dashboard data?

Every change requested in the descriptive analytics is automatically applicable to future computes. However, in order to reflect the changes in the historical data a separate request is required as this involves a lot of additional computing resources. For this reason, we only factor in changes (after initial setup) to branded search terms after they are added to the system.
